What happens after you order

We'll email you a simple form to collect everything we need to create your Shooting Star Memorial Tree, along with instructions for getting the ashes to us. You can choose to use all or just a portion. Whether the ashes have been kept with you for years or are still with a funeral home, we make the process simple.

If the ashes are with you, we'll send you a secure Stewardship Kit with a prepaid return box. If they're with a funeral home, we'll arrange collection.

Once we receive the ashes, we'll prepare and cultivate your Shooting Star Memorial Tree and keep you updated along the way. Most trees are ready within four to eight weeks.

Tree Details

The Dwarf Blue Spruce symbolizes enduring love, remembrance, and strength. Its beautiful silvery-blue needles remain throughout the seasons, offering a quiet reminder that love does not disappear with loss. Compact and steadfast, it brings year-round colour and a gentle sense of permanence to a patio or garden. As it grows, it becomes a living place to remember a little life held for far too short a time, and a love that will always remain.

  • Exposure: Full sun
  • Foliage Colour: Silvery blue to blue-green year-round
  • Growth: Slow
  • Height: 0.9 to 1.5 m
  • Spread: 0.9 to 1.5 m
  • Shape: Compact, softly pyramidal
  • Soil: Moist, well-drained soil
  • Location: Well suited to a large outdoor planter, patio, or small garden. Its slow growth and compact form make it easier to move with your family if your home today is not your forever-home. It can remain in a container for many years or eventually be planted in the garden if you choose.
